t was established in 1966 as an independent body under the title “Pakistan Arts Council Rawalpindi”. In 1975 it was taken over by the Punjab Council of the Arts Lahore as its Divisional institution known as Rawalpindi Arts Council. Punjab Council of the Arts and its all Divisional Arts Councils are working under Information, Culture & Youth Affairs Department Government of the Punjab. The Executive Director Punjab Council of the Arts is over all responsible for all matters relating to all the Divisional Arts Councils and Punjab Council of the Arts Lahore. The Worthy Commissioner, Rawalpindi is the Chairman of Divisional Arts Council, Rawalpindi.
